School Outreach Programmes

We reached out to two government schools to raise awareness on health, moral values, and environmental care. Along with the sessions, essential items were shared for students’ wellbeing and hygiene.

Voluntary Blood Donation Camp – 01

A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized on 30th April 2025 at Rajiv Gandhi University under the theme “Donate Blood, Save Lives.”

  • Organized by Green Bees Club (Dept. of Sociology, RGU)
  • In collaboration with TRIHMS Naharlagun, NSS-RGU & ASF
  • 65 donors participated (18 female, 47 male)
  • Faculty members actively donated blood, inspiring students

Under Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas – 2025, a quiz competition was organized to raise awareness about the life, struggles, and contributions of tribal freedom fighters of Arunachal Pradesh and India.

Taba Asha Nyelam

Chairperson

A graduate of JNV Yachuli, Higher Secondary School Itanagar, and DNGC Itanagar. She enjoys meeting people, engaging in group activities, and taking part in plantation drives. Known for her love of organized surroundings, she believes in creating clean and positive spaces. Helpful by nature, she is always ready to support others, contribute to community work, and be part of meaningful initiatives.

Director

Ms. Neelam Rupa, a Gold Medalist in Sociology, is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at Rajiv Gandhi University while serving as a Teaching Assistant in the same department. A Governor’s Award recipient for her academic excellence, she has also worked with several renowned NGOs in the state. She actively contributes to environmental protection, promoting clean and healthy environments, afforestation initiatives, women empowerment, substance-abuse awareness, and child rights. As a committed child rights advocate, she strives to foster awareness, equity, and meaningful social change.

An enthusiastic educator with an academic background in Zoology and Education, dedicated to imparting knowledge and reaching the unreached. A true nature lover who believes in planting more trees, protecting biodiversity, and keeping the environment clean and pollution-free. Passionate about creating positive learning spaces, inspiring young minds, and contributing meaningfully to the community through small yet impactful actions.

She is a sociologist in training and an active contributor to academic and community initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Don Bosco College and a master’s in Sociology from RGU, where she is currently pursuing her Ph.D. and serving as a Teaching Assistant. Passionate about football, social work, and environmental conservation, she is associated with the Magic Club Arunachal and also serves as the Assistant IPR of RGURSF.

He is an agriculturist and an enthusiast in environmental protection, holding a Doctorate in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Coochbehar, West Bengal. He continuously strives to be a better human, guided by values of sustainability and kindness. Passionate about nurturing both the land and the community, he believes in conservation, responsible growth, and creating a positive impact through knowledge, action, and mindful living.

Research Officer

Dr. Seema Bengia is a researcher with a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Rajiv Gandhi University. She specializes in medical sociology, public health, TB, and substance abuse, and is currently serving as a Guest Faculty at RGU. Passionate about community well-being, she explores the connections between health and society. She enjoys cooking, travelling, writing, social work, and maintaining an active lifestyle.

A former member of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, he remains committed to creating positive social impact.
